In this post, you’ll learn how to build your own email list and create a funnel for your new authority site. Having your own email list is a valuable asset because it gives you the ability to control the traffic to your site.

This component is very important for increasing profits from paid traffic and arbitrage, so it’s a good idea to do it now and understand why. Thanks for taking the time to learn about this!

In this Email List Building series, we are going to talk about the use of squeeze pages, “tripwire” offers, autoresponders and follow ups.

This series is going to show the entire “funnel”, and how to set it up completely from scratch for affiliate marketers.

The skills you are about to learn will set you up to build your own large email list of customers (subscribers) and can be applied in ANY niche or topic.

This email list can become a very valuable asset to you in any future business, whether you want to sell it, use it to build your own online stores, or any other future business.

Let’s Do the Math!

Social media platforms like Facebook and Tik Tok have billions of active users, so it’s easy to think that using social media is the best way to reach a large audience. However, it’s important to remember that not everyone is on social media, and even those who are may not be active users. There are other ways to reach potential customers, so don’t put all your eggs in one basket.

They have impressive numbers, but what isn’t so frequently shared are the statistics on email usage.

Think about it. If people want to sign up for a website, they need an email address. It’s as simple as that! So if you’re looking to grow your website’s user base, offering email address registration is a great way to do it.

Have you ever considered how much information you share with businesses just by signing up for an account? When you create an account on a website, you usually have to share your email address. But did you know that businesses can also collect other data about you, like your name, address, and phone number?

What’s more is that Facebook, Youtube, and TikTok use email to notify users of activity. Email is the currency of the web, and almost everybody who uses the internet has an active email address. When it comes to connecting with your prospects and customers, there’s no channel with a wider reach than email.

Anyone who says email is dead doesn’t understand this very basic concept.

Better ROI & Lifetime Value

Email simply works better than other channels when it comes to driving conversions and ROI. Online studies show that email marketing yields an average 3,800% ROI for businesses. That’s $35 in ROI for every $1 spent on email marketing.

Email is amazing because you can send personalized messages to people based on their interests, location, and purchase history. This way, you can keep your messages relevant and interesting long into the future. Plus, with email you actually own your subscribers (unlike those pesky social media followers).

With data about your customers and the control you hold in your business, your email list becomes more saleable in the future and allows for further targeting.

So why does email outperform other channels so significantly when it comes to ROI? There are a few reasons:

Email Will Be Around Forever

Remember MySpace? It was once the hottest social networking site in the world, but it eventually lost users to other platforms. Where is MySpace now? All of those users eventually moved on to other social networks.

Imagine if you’d invested significant amounts of time and money building an audience on a platform, only to find it died a year or two later. The impact on your ability to reach and engage potential customers would be catastrophic.

Email has a long and stable history. In contrast, Facebook limits the number of times that posts appear on News Feeds, which only 2% of fans see. This is because Facebook tries to get brands to pay for advertising. Email, on the other hand, has a long history of stability.

This is a big deal when it comes to getting your messages seen. On Facebook, if you post an update to your 10,000 fans, roughly 200 of them will have the chance of seeing it. Alternatively, if you send an email campaign to 10,000 subscribers, up to 9,000 contacts are likely to receive it in their inbox. Email is the proven marketing channel to ensure your audience gets your message.

So What is the Value of an Email Subscriber?

So what’s the big deal with email subscribers? And why do people always talk about how great they are?

Well, it turns out that the value of an email subscriber is different for every business. To properly determine the value requires highly technical analytics to truly know the value of one email subscriber.

It highly depends on many factors, including but not limited to how good of a follow up sequence you have with your leads, how much trust you have built with your audience, and what value your emails bring to the lives of your subscribers.

Let’s face it- your subscribers could unsubscribe from your list at any given point.

The value of an email subscriber is often said to be around $1 per month. But this number will differ based on who you ask and what industry they’re in.

For example, If you had a list of 40,000 email addresses, it could potentially generate $40,000 a month in revenue. Of course, this is on the high end of the spectrum, but even if each email address was worth only a dime to you per month, that would still add up to $4,000 a month.

Let’s walk through a typical formula for determining what earnings from a list that big can look like.

When an email is sent to 40,000 people, roughly 20% of them will open that email.

That is 8,000 people. Of those 8,000 people, let’s say only 1 in 10 of them click on the link within the email.

With just one email blast, that is 800 visitors that can be sent an affiliate link or website.

Even if you convert just 3% of those 800 people into a customer (24 customers) on an affiliate link that pays you a $37 commission, you can earn 24 * $37 = $888.00 from sending one email.

Why Should Affiliates Build an Email List?

Long-term affiliate marketing campaigns can be hard to come by, and many marketers end up having to string together a bunch of shorter campaigns to make ends meet. This can be a stressful way to live, constantly worrying about whether your next campaign will be successful. One way to ease this worry is to build up a network of other affiliates who you can rely on for advice and support.

Affiliate marketers are generally building other people’s businesses.

By building a campaign that collects an email first (affiliate funnels) or by using our special “code hack” on arbitrage campaigns (explained in the CPA Marketing course), you are in fact building your own business while using the affiliate marketing model as a way to monetize your list of emails. To collect emails, you need to set up the system first. Lucky for you, it’s not that hard.

Building an email list allows you to run more aggressive offers in your email sequence that would not normally be allowed for promotion on traffic networks such as Facebook or Google. Just as an example, Facebook is very strict in the diet niche, dating niche, and many others.

A Final Word of Advice Before You Begin…

Many affiliate marketers stray from building email lists, mainly because of these 2 main reasons:

1.  It Takes a Lot of Work

Like many of our courses, you should sit back and learn the entire course before getting started. If after taking this course you think this is something you want to do, then we are here to help. We’re not saying this is going to be easy.

2.  Some Niches Don’t Cater Well To This Kind of Set Up You Are About To Learn.

Before you begin setting this up, be sure to pick a niche that has a lot of potential products that you can promote to your list, then choose a topic that people will continue to open emails about.

For example, dieting, skin care, “make money at home” and finances are all topics that people will continue to have interest in. If you choose to start your niche too specific, like flashlights, or cameras, then you can only send so many emails about flashlights before people get bored.

Don’t let these two common deterrents stop you from becoming a successful affiliate. Stand out from the rest and persevere. Who’s ready?
