Getting an account with a CPA network can sometimes be difficult since many will require an interview or detailed application process.
Some networks are easier to get into than others.
It is easier to get accepted if you have your own website full of quality content.
Many networks specialize in specific verticals while others have a complete variety of verticals like SunAdNetwork.
What Questions to Expect When Applying to a CPA Network
Apart from your name, company name, and address, here are some questions you will likely be asked when applying to networks:
- How experienced are you with CPA?
- Where is your traffic coming from?
- How much money per day/month do you spend on advertising?
- Do you belong to any other CPA network?
- What are your monthly earning levels with these other networks?
- How did you hear about us?
These are just some examples. When answering the questions, be sure to remain honest.
How To Know That You Chose the Right Network
If you joined a network but you didn’t get a responsive affiliate manager, then you might have joined a poor network.
The first thing to do when you’re accepted within a network is to contact your affiliate manager, start the discussion. If they are unresponsive this is a bad sign.
Ask for a list of their top performing affiliate offers that you can promote. They will likely ask what traffic source you plan to use, so be prepared with an answer.
You want a network that provides traffic source ideas and ways to scale your campaigns.
Before applying:
- Make sure your website is full of good content and has a privacy policy and contact information.
- Have a game plan as to how you want to drive traffic
- Have a general idea on what types of offers you think you want to promote
- Have a general idea on how much you plan to spend on setting up campaigns
If you don’t have a website, or you are just starting out, you can still be accepted to networks.
Always be honest and share your plans. Some networks will only accept experienced affiliates, but there are some who understand that we all need to start somewhere.
If you’re not accepted- don’t worry, there are others. Be persistent with your applying efforts and you’ll get accepted somewhere. Be careful not to join a shady network that wont pay or will scam you!

Can I progress further without a website/blog?
You do NOT need a website to get accepted into some CPA networks, but many of them require it. They want to see your marketing methods in action.
Many of the top networks want to work with professional affiliates that have a website. However, it doesn’t need to be a complex site with tons of traffic. A simple personal site or blog should be enough.
Why haven’t I been approved yet?
It takes time for a network to approve you. Be patient and keep checking. This can sometimes take up to 48 hours or 3 days.
How do I deal with a W9 / W8-Ben?
These forms are required by most CPA networks in order to send your first payment. A W8 is for those who live outside the US. In most cases, you will need to complete the form and email it to your affiliate manager. They will provide the required forms and explain what further is needed. This is a very easy step to complete.
